Hoge Finance (HOGE) Crypto Exchange

HOGE, previously known as Hogecoin, is a deflationary DeFi-based meme token. It was launched in February 2021, by initially anonymous developers. However, a few months after the launch, some of the developers revealed themselves. The team behind HOGE Finance includes Joseph Niehaus, Zach Issa Al-Kharusy, Marc-Antoine Belairis, and Florin Podaru. Belairis and Podaru are the co-founders of the project.

HOGE’s whitepaper highlights the importance of the “meme” format and the way “non-traditional” incentives can be beneficial to “the growth of an economy and its participants”. HOGE Finance is a community-driven project focused on DeFi and charitable incentives. There is a 2% tax on every transaction which benefits HOGE in two ways. Half of the tax is burnt which allows the token to be categorized as deflationary and the other half is redistributed to holders incentivizing them. Such a system also makes HOGE an auto-staking token. However, it has a limited supply, which is reduced after each burn, meaning that HOGE tokens cannot be mined. The burn rate will also increase over time and is planned to reach 1.4% in the future.

In July 2022, HOGE Finance introduced its own NFT marketplace to the public titled "Own.Studio". The marketplace is live on Polygon and aims to help artists own their NFT smart contracts.
