SNT is the official coin of Status, a mobile app that combines instant encrypted messaging, a secure cryptocurrency wallet, and a mobile browser. It is available to download on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

The messenger enables you to send messages just as you would do with the likes of WhatsApp and Telegram. Because it is connected to a cryptocurrency wallet, you can send tokens instantly to other users. The web browser enables you to interact with decentralized apps, exchanges, games, etc., built on the Ethereum blockchain.

SNT currently trades at nearly $0.03 and has a market value of over $100 million, according to CoinMarketCap. It has a circulating supply of nearly 4 billion units out of a maximum of 6.8 billion.

SNTs are the official governance token of the Status mobile service. Thus, holders can propose and vote on any changes related to the service. The higher the number of tokens you hold, the higher your voting power.

Who Is The Founder Of Status?

It was founded in 2017 by two crypto entrepreneurs: Carl Bennets and Jarrad Hope. The team behind the project is based in Zug, Switzerland. They launched the SNT coin in June 2017 with an initial coin offering (ICO) that raised more than $100 million.
